A medical interrogate?

can a doctor write prescriptions for himself? i know it sounds like a dumb examine but can they?? think of the desperate side of that?? just curious thanxA medical interrogate?
Generally they can write a prescription for an antibiotic or some non narcotic drug. Most don't anyway for scare of future repercussions. They can definately carry into trouble for writing a prescription for narcotics for themselfs. It is a law that pharmacies also enjoy to check ID's on narcotic prescriptions in most states. With the use of computers it would be highly hard not to hold questions come up something like narcotic usesage. The occasional one for an injury or something but start to write a couple and things get fishy. We have a dentist here who worte narcotic scripts for everyone including his grandparents, kids, neices and nephews but they all be for him.. He lost his lisence.
My brother-in-law is a doctor and he's written scripts for his wife and kids, but I think it's a no-no for one's self, but I don't know this for sure. I think about it would leave a papertrail for possible licensure issues latter on, so no smart doctor would do it.
Seriously, couldn't a dr just produce up a name and run it to the drugstore. I don't think I've ever be asked for an id...
I don't believe they can because they are monitored closely by the medical boards surrounded by what ever state they are in. We have a physician in the ER that progress ill while he be working and we had to give the name in another physician to bequeath orders, do test, order medication and admit him to the hospital.
surrounded by this country u cant (UK).. some countries u can ...
