Vicodin is two drugs combined in a single tablet. It is hydrocodone, a narcotic, next to acetaminophen (Tylenol). Darvocet is propoxyphene, a narcotic, with acetaminophen.
As both medication include acetaminophen, any difference in the amount of pain nouns would be due to the narcotic. Since pain perception is relative so too is distress relief. That mortal said, hydrocodone is similar in its analgesic properties to codeine. Propoxyphene is considered a smaller number potent narcotic, perhaps the weakest on the bazaar.
Essentially, Vicodin is "stronger" than Darvocet.
