it could be a spider bite or a snake bite are they close together or far apart if close to gether then you might want to lug him to the dr. but if far apart i would get the spray benadryl and put that on him! my son once get bit by a brown recluse and he did not even sense it was their until he get sick felling and we took him to the doctor and he be fine they gave him meds!
My kids use to return with like that when they get bite by mosquito's and ants. I think the skin get hard to protect itself from them tear it up from scratching. I use to newly put neosporin ointment on it and if needed distribute childrens tylenol for any discomfort. The hardness will shift away it is just his bodies works dealing with the bite. If he doesn't take action to touching it maybe it isn't tender to the touch.
