Why is it that taking too much calcium and/or iron is detrimental to strength?
some minerals are not passed through the system and instead build up to toxic levels. It interferes near the ability of enzymes to function correctly, and for this reason can become deadly.
The same is true give or take a few some vitamins which are not water-soluble. Some vitamins can be taken in nearly any amount possible, because it will dilutes contained by water and pass through the system. (like vitamin C). Some other vitamins are oil soluble and as a consequence are excreted only within small amounts and can therefore build up to toxic level as well.
Iron is not excreted. The iron you engage stays and accumulates surrounded by storage except that you can lose one milligram a day through spike, finger nails, skin cell and other detritus. Even a small amount of excess iron can damage heart and brain and other storage sites contained by the body and lead to heart attack or stroke.
Too much calcium can mete out kidney stones.
Too much of any vitamin or mineral can actually poison you only just the same as any other overdose can.
Too much iron can clog up your arteries surrounded by the same instrument as too much cholesterol.
Too much calcium could lead to a lesser amount in magnesium as the calcium may be spellbound preferentially at the expense of magnesium. Calcium and magnesium interact.
Too much of one mineral may create an imbalance surrounded by the system and you can end up not up to scratch in something else.
Too much calcium could also head to kidney stones.
