Now it's a week next and for the last couple days I've have a sharp, shooting pain where on earth they stuck me whenever I straighten that arm or bend it from a straightened position. It's still bruised, but the pain solely started a couple days ago.
I'm not sure what could be wrong, maybe something beside my nerve? Why did it one and only start recently? Any guidance? Why do I own sharp throbbing after donating blood?
It sound resembling a possibility that the phlebotomist damaged a capillary when inserting and reinserting the needle. Alternate a cold and thaw out compress every other 30-45 minutes. This will help the strain, and help fade the bruise if you enjoy one. Take and NSAID, or a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory suchs as Tylenol (aceteminaphen), Motrin (ibprofen) or Advil (naproxen). If the pain doesn't subside surrounded by a few days contact your doctor. If you feel your blood isn't protected enough to use because of the niggle, call the managing that withdrew your blood and relay them not to use it.
My husband had a similar situation when giving blood. We asked his father in the order of this because he works for the Red Cross in their blood-mobile. He said he thought that the being who took my husband's blood probably nicked a muscle. He said to go to a doctor to hold it checked and then telephone call the Red Cross to complain. Apparently they have insurance to cover injuries that crop up when their employees cart your blood.
