NEVER PUT A Q-TIP IN YOUR EAR!! That can damage your ear and/or crack your eardrum! My advice, dance to the doctor again, you may have an infection. Or you may hold very dry skin. Also when you come our of the dampen when you're swimming and you lean your head. Your eardrum closes up, and that can generate an ear itchy. Mine does that when I lean my head.
Great sensation isn't it. I get mine from a minor fungus. I use a simple mixture of isopropyl alcohol, white vinegar and rather boric acid ( I reflect on it is found over the counter called swim ear or such). I use several drops every time my guide hits water, swimming or showering.
