$60 is extremely low cost compared to most clinics. According to insurance regulations, if you have not be seen contained by 3 or more yrs at the same clinic, you are considered a topical pt .Most office visit are based on complexity from stratum 1 to olevel 5, with 5 self the most time consuming and costly. My office charges alot more than $60, our cheapest deep-seated office call round for new pts is $85. Have you asked your physician or his billing coordinator ? They are really the solitary ones who can explain their billing methods. I am not trying to sound coarse, but $60 is not alot by most clinic's standards.
I would phone call and complain and ask them to justify this. My folks own been patients of their clinic for roughly 50 years as powerfully. They were solely charging people bright to the system. $60 seems an awful lot as in good health.
I work for a drs office and i own never heard of this. Maybe you should consider varying drs. You should only be charged for copays and anything your insurance doesn't cover, i.e. special conducting tests.
If you are going to the same department, but the doctor's keep shifting - I would dispute the "new patient" charge near the office/billing manager. SHEESE!
Ever thought going on for going to a new department, since you are going to be a new forgiving everytime you go into see your regular but trial doctor?
"New patient" refers to the medical procedure code a doctor uses to bill an office stop by. Its fair... sort of... The doctor have to spend more time, if its the first time they've ever seen a merciful. Its not the doc's fault... complaint to the AMA. They contribute input & help designate procedure coding.
